Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 fillets salmon fillets (6–7 oz / ~170–200g each), skin on or off as preferred Fatty fish = flavor + omega-3s
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil Use avocado oil for higher smoke point.
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper Simple seasoning.
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 each zest and juice of lemon Adds brightness.
Optional Garnishes
  • to taste chopped parsley
  • to taste lemon wedges
  • to taste toasted sesame seeds For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure crispier skin.
  2. Brush or rub each fillet lightly with oil. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder evenly. Add lemon zest for brightness.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 2–3 minutes.
  2. Place fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each for airflow.
  3. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8–12 minutes, depending on thickness (8–9 minutes for medium, 10–12 minutes for well-done).
Serving
  1. Let rest for 2–3 minutes before serving. Finish with a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of fresh herbs.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the basket. Preheat the air fryer for best results to avoid steaming. Season fillets the night before if busy.
