  • 1 pound ground beef the star protein!
  • 1 cup long-grain rice (white or brown) for hearty texture.
  • 2 cups beef broth (or water)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (or chicken soup) for creaminess.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) sharp cheddar or whatever is on hand.
  • 1 cup mixed veggies (frozen or fresh) think bell peppers, onions, or even frozen peas.
Spices
  • garlic powder to taste
  • onion powder to taste
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a big bowl, combine the browned beef, rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, shredded cheese, and mixed veggies. Stir until well incorporated.
  4. Transfer to Casserole Dish: Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  5. Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil, adding additional cheese on top, and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let it sit for a few minutes, then enjoy!

Notes

For a creamier texture, swap in sour cream in place of half the soup. Can be customized with various veggies or spices for added flavor.
