Ingredients
Method
Prepare the Dough
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the olive oil and water. Mix until it forms a dough.
- Knead the dough for about 2-3 minutes until smooth, then let it rest for a few minutes.
Roll Out the Dough
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough until it’s about ¼ inch thick. Cut into circles using a large cookie cutter or a mug.
Fill and Seal
- On one half of each circle, place a tablespoon of pizza sauce, followed by cheese and toppings. Leave the edges clear for sealing.
- Fold the dough over to create a pocket and pinch the edges to seal. For extra security, press a fork along the edges.
Bake
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
Serve
- Let cool slightly, then serve warm with extra sauce for dipping. If your sauce is too thick, add a splash of water for a better consistency.
Notes
For healthier alternatives, consider using whole wheat flour and loading up with veggies. Avoid overfilling to prevent bursting during baking.
