  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped Drain or pat the lettuce dry to avoid soggy bread.
  • 2 tablespoons Caesar dressing Taste the sandwich and add more dressing only if needed.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
  1. Toast the slices of crusty bread until golden brown.
  2. On one slice of bread, layer the sliced chicken.
  3. Top the chicken with chopped romaine lettuce.
  4. Drizzle Caesar dressing over the lettuce and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the second slice of bread on top, cut in half if desired, and serve.

Notes

Serve it warm or at room temperature. Add a side like chips, a small salad, or a handful of fresh fruit. A pickle or lemon wedge goes well with the Caesar flavor.
