Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Drain and rinse chickpeas (if using). Pat them dry with a clean towel.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, brown sugar, cinnamon, and sea salt. Ensure your chickpeas or apple slices are well-coated.
- Spread the chickpeas (or apples) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Bake for 20 minutes, tossing halfway through. If you prefer extra crispiness, leave them in for another 5 minutes, but keep an eye on them.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes. They will continue to crisp as they cool down.
Notes
For a nutty flavor, add a tablespoon of maple syrup instead of brown sugar. Substitute apple slices for chickpeas, ensuring you coat them in a bit of lemon juice before baking.
