Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts (boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces) Use fresh, preferably free-range chicken for best flavor.
  • 8 ounces Bowtie pasta Or your preferred pasta shape.
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter Divided into two tablespoons for cooking chicken and two for garlic sauce.
  • 4 cloves Fresh garlic (minced) Adjust according to taste.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish) Adds freshness to the dish.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated, for serving) Feel free to add more cheese if desired.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to your preference.

Method

Cooking Pasta
  1. Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Remember to reserve about a cup of pasta water before draining!
Sautéing Chicken
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken pieces, seasoning them with salt and pepper. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, stirring occasionally.
Making Garlic Butter Sauce
  1. Once the chicken is cooked, push it to one side of the skillet. In the other side, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, making sure not to burn the garlic.
Combining Pasta and Sauce
  1. Add the drained bowtie pasta to the skillet. If the mixture seems dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency. Toss gently to combine.
Final Touches
  1. Remove from heat and stir in freshly chopped parsley. Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For a tangy twist, substitute lemon juice for the usual vinegar in dressings. Consider using gluten-free or whole wheat pasta for healthier options.
