Ingredients

For the Steak and Potatoes
  • 1 lb sirloin steak (or any tender cut, such as ribeye) Use a prime cut for better flavor.
  • 1 lb baby potatoes Red or yellow for a beautiful presentation.
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter For an ideal creamy finish.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Garlic is essential for flavor!
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley or thyme) For garnish and added freshness.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce (optional) Enhances umami flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash and quarter your baby potatoes.
  2. Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. In a pot, bring salted water to a boil and add the potatoes. Cook for about 10-12 minutes until fork-tender.
  2. While the potatoes are boiling, heat half of the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Once melted, add the steak pieces in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
  4. Lower the heat and add the remaining butter to the same skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the drained potatoes to the skillet with the garlic butter and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return the steak to the skillet, toss everything together, and garnish with fresh herbs.
Serving
  1. Plate your Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Potatoes hot, and drizzle some extra garlic butter over the top for a finishing touch!

Notes

For a tangy twist, substitute lemon with lime in the garlic butter sauce. To reduce calories, consider replacing some butter with chicken broth. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
