  • 1 lb ground pork (or turkey for a leaner option) Use turkey for a healthier alternative.
Binding and Flavoring Ingredients
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use whole wheat for a nuttier flavor.
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup milk Replace with almond milk for dairy-free.
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (optional for topping)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and milk.
  3. Use your hands for effective mixing, but make sure not to overwork the meat.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a lightly greased baking dish.
  5. Spread ketchup on top if desired.
Cooking
  1. Bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  2. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a more nutritious version, consider using whole grain breadcrumbs or swapping ground beef for a plant-based alternative. Incorporating vegetables like chopped spinach or bell peppers can also enhance flavor and moisture.
