  • 1 teaspoon Oregano Dry or fresh
  • to taste Salt and Pepper
  • as needed Wraps or Pita Bread For serving

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts and coat them well. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes (or longer if time allows).
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from the skillet and let rest.
Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt with minced garlic, salt, and some chopped dill if desired. Adjust seasoning as necessary and set aside.
Assembly
  1. Slice the cooked chicken into strips. Lay down the wrap or pita, add a generous dollop of the garlic yogurt sauce, followed by the diced cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and chicken strips.
  2. Wrap it tightly, slice in half, and enjoy your delicious Greek chicken wrap!

Notes

For a tangy twist, substitute lemon juice with lime. For a lighter version, use low-fat yogurt or substitute chicken with grilled vegetables for a plant-based option.
