Preparation
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts and coat them well. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes (or longer if time allows).
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from the skillet and let rest.
Prepare the Sauce
- In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt with minced garlic, salt, and some chopped dill if desired. Adjust seasoning as necessary and set aside.
Assembly
- Slice the cooked chicken into strips. Lay down the wrap or pita, add a generous dollop of the garlic yogurt sauce, followed by the diced cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and chicken strips.
- Wrap it tightly, slice in half, and enjoy your delicious Greek chicken wrap!
Notes
For a tangy twist, substitute lemon juice with lime. For a lighter version, use low-fat yogurt or substitute chicken with grilled vegetables for a plant-based option.
