Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Sausages (your choice: chicken, pork, or veggie)
  • 1 each Bell Peppers (1 red, 1 yellow, 1 green, sliced)
  • 1 medium Onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • Black pepper to taste Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat
Substitutions
  • Use lemon juice for part of the honey for a tangy twist
  • Use turkey sausage or plant-based alternative To cater to different dietary needs

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and a pinch of black pepper to prepare the honey garlic glaze. Set aside.
  3. On a large baking sheet, toss the sliced bell peppers and onions with olive oil, ensuring they’re well-coated for roasting.
Cooking
  1. Nestle the sausages among the vegetables on the baking sheet. Drizzle half of the honey garlic glaze over the sausages and vegetables.
  2. Roast in the oven for 15 minutes. After 10 minutes, use a spatula to turn the sausages and mix the veggies for even cooking.
  3. Remove from the oven, and drizzle the remaining honey garlic sauce over the top. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  4. Serve hot, garnished with optional red pepper flakes for a hint of spice.

Notes

Consider serving with a refreshing arugula salad or over rice to soak up the honey garlic sauce. Adding freshly chopped herbs can enhance the dish's flavor and presentation.
