Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup black beans (drained and rinsed) for a fiber boost
  • 1/2 cup almond butter creamy and nutritious
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup a natural sweetener
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder rich in antioxidants
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder for an extra protein kick
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder for some fluff
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt enhances flavors
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips for guilt-free indulgence

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In a food processor, combine the black beans, almond butter, and maple syrup. Blend until smooth.
  3. Tip: If the mixture seems thick, add a splash of almond milk for better blending.
Mixing
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well-combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the greased baking pan and smoothen the top.
  2. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  3. Tip: Keep an eye on the baking time to avoid overcooking; these brownie bites are best soft and chewy!
Cooling
  1. Allow the brownies to cool before cutting them into bite-sized pieces.

Notes

Store leftover brownie bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to four days or refrigerate them for a week. These bites freeze beautifully; simply wrap them individually and store in the freezer for up to three months. Thaw them before indulging!
