- Hull and dice the strawberries and pineapples. Finely dice the jalapeño, and wash hands after handling.
Mixing
- In a large bowl, combine strawberries, pineapples, red onion, and jalapeño. Toss gently to avoid mashing the berries.
Flavoring
- Add lime juice and chopped cilantro (or mint). Mix again. Taste to adjust salt according to your preference.
Marination
- Cover and let the salsa sit for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serving
- Stir gently once more before serving and garnish with extra cilantro or a slice of lime.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best flavor, mix lime juice and salt just before serving.
